The sniper rifle

“Dad?”

“Mhm”

“You know I think sniper rifles are really cool right?”

“Mhm”

“You think we could build one down in you workshop?”

“…Mhmmmm!”

Sniper

… So searching pictures on the internet and printing profiles in 1:1. We glued the prints on to plywood and used a jigsaw to cut the shapes.

A football pump is used as silencer and some used 30.06 shells from my old rifle are mounted in the clip… Well and then some paint and 16mm steel tube for tripod and barrel. Plus an old second-hand Bushnell sight… Here we go :o)

  1. Dear mr. Kühlmeier,

First of all my apologies for contacting you via such an unconventional way. I found your website via your LinkedIn-profile and could not find an e-mailadress. I am wondering if there is a way to look into the PhD report that you wrote on “Buckling of wind turbine rotor blades. Analysis, design and experimental validations.” (November 2007).

Currently I am starting my thesis project for a dual degree MSc program in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft (NL) and Wind Energy at DTU (DK) and during my literature survey I found a reference to your PhD thesis report (in “Advances in Wind Turbine Blade Design and Materials” by Brøndsted and Nijssen). I would be very interested in taking a look at this report, since my thesis will mainly focus on trailing edge buckling of wind turbine rotor blades.

    Best regards,
    Jouke Zoethout

    1. Sure thing. I’ve Emailed you the report.
      May I suggest also:

Happy reading and let me know if I can help in other ways.
